Exhibition

One of the next presentations of the international exhibition "Experiencing Mathematics", supported by UNESCO, will occur in Portugal from December 2007 to March 2008. The opening of the itinerancy of this exhibition will take place on December 16 and it will coincide with the welcome reception of the conference "The future of Mathematics Education in Europe". Please note that it will be held at the "Pavilhão do Conhecimento", located at the Parque das Nações (Lisbon).

Experiencing mathematics! is an international exhibition initiated and supported by UNESCO.

This exhibition is intended to show to all visitors that mathematics is:
* astonishing, interesting and useful,
* accessible to everyone,
* plays a large part in daily life,
* that they lead to many trades,
* and has an important role in our culture, development and progress.

This exhibition is aimed particularly at young people, their parents and their teachers,but it is hoped that the ideas interest all those who want to learn more about Science in general and Mathematics in particular.
